John Coltrane Impressions Impulse A-42 stereo orange and black label
John Coltrane (ts), Eric Dolphy (b cl), McCoy Tyner (p), Jimmy Garrison, Reggie Worknman (b), Elvin Jones, Roy Haynes (d) Recorded 1961, 1963
Orange and black label with "VAN GELDER and STEREO" in the run out both sides. Cover has "Product Of ABC-Paramount Records, Inc" on back cover.
Record looks VG++ and plays VG+/VG++. There's a scuff with the grooves on Side 1 Track 1. Side 2 looks clean. Grooves are not gray but do show some play. Record plays with light surface noise.
The laminated gatefold cover is VG+.
The front cover has moderate wear. The back cover has moderate wear and ring wear. Inside foldout has moderate wear and some mold staining on the white strip. No split seams. Three small spots of missing slick on bottom seam of front cover. Spine is readable. Tiny spots of heavy wear and denting at the corners.
I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC BLUE NOTE 1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
