This listing is for a 1961 copy of Olé by John Coltrane. This is the original mono pressing.


Cover is conservatively graded as VG condition with worn corners, mild discoloration, and sticker damage to back.


LP is also VG, but very close to VG+ and maybe even NM. Extremely glossy and pretty, but a couple surface marks contribute some clicks/popping throughout some brief passages. This surface noise isn’t enough to distract from the music however (it’s rather quiet) and other than these fleeting moments, record plays beautifully. Labels are flawless.


Overall, this is a great collector’s and listener’s copy. Fantastic record with great performances by Eric Dolphy (credited here as George Lane to avoid label dispute), Freddie Hubbard, McCoy Tyner, and, of course, Coltrane himself.
