The product is a reel-to-reel tape recording of the John Coltrane Quartet, featuring McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones. Released in 1963 as "Quartet Ballads," this jazz LP from the 1960s showcases the innovative style of Coltrane in a quartet setting. The black cardboard sleeve is in good condition, and the inlay is also in good condition. This rare piece of music history from the United States is a must-have for any jazz enthusiast looking to enjoy the talents of one of the greatest saxophonists of all time.
The selected region shows the classic 1963 jazz album "Ballads" by the John Coltrane Quartet (featuring McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones) on Impulse! Records, presented alongside a vintage reel-to-reel tape copy of the release. Recorded between 1961 and 1962 at Van Gelder Studio, the album features iconic renditions of standards like "You Don't Know What Love Is" and "Say It (Over And Over Again)".
The cardboard case is not perfect. Some of the pieces are missing from the sides as shown in photos.
The real inside the case no longer has attached the label however, it is still in the box. The tape shows some wear.
