Description
Prestige 7142, "Soultrane" with John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor; from 1957. This is the trident-label second pressing from 1964. The vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The jacket is near mint with absolutely no negative issues: seams are solid and unworn, corners are square, there are no bends, writing, or stamps, and as an added bonus, it is in the original shrink wrap. (All right, the shrink has retracted somewhat from the edge.) Numbers are "Good Bait", "I Want To Talk About You", ""You Say You Care", "Theme for Ernie", and "Russian Lullaby". Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
I have detected a small pressing bubble on Side B, Track 2 that causes light ticks for about ten revolutions.
