Description
The legendary pairing of John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman are featured in this classic Impulse LP. This is a first pressing Mono version of this 1963 album. Catalog # A-40. Black and Orange Impulse label. Van Gelder stamp in the dead wax. Matrix #s (Side A ) A-40-A-1 (Side B) A-40-B-1. Condition of the Jacket is Ex+. Please see above for details. Inner sleeve is plain paper. Not sure if it's original but it looks the proper age. Most Impulse sleeves from this era that I've seen are ad printed, not plain. Condition of the Vinyl is G. Multiple scuffs and scratches (some deep) but no warps and vinyl maintains a high gloss. The album has been play tested and has no skips despite the scratches. There are numerous clicks and pops and a little bit of groove wear on side A. Surprisingly, Side B plays considerably cleaner despite being more visibly scratched. A deep cleaning of the record may do wonders to improve sound. Please view photos above. They are photos of the actual item you'll be bidding on.
