Description

This is the deep groove RVG-stamped mono “P”-pressing of John Coltrane “Blue Train” on the West 63rd labels of Blue Note BLP 1577.   The playing surface is in excellent condition, with a beautiful luster; there are four pressing blisters of which three are shallow and inaudible, while the fourth, near the beginning of the second track on Side 2, makes eight thumps.  The laminated West 63rd cover is in remarkable condition, with sharp corners;  normal age toning on the back slick; 1/8” bump at the lower right corner.  Personnel include Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones.  $750.00
