Description

This is the original RVG-stamped deep-groove pressing of John Coltrane "Coltrane" on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige 7105. The flat-rim playing surface appears to be in new, unplayed condition, but has the inaudible patterning that is typical of records stored for many years in the original glassine inner sleeve. The laminated cover has the West 50th Street address: perfect seams, sharp corners, immaculate throughout, with just slight age-toning to the back slick. Personnel includes Sahib Shihab, Mal Waldron, Paul Chambers, and Al Heath.
