Description

John Coltrane with The Red Garland Trio “Soultrane” Prestige Records 1958 original (# 7142 mono) in a laminate cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Very Good (VG).  There is a surface smudge on Side A/track 2 towards the end during the bass solo where it produces a low level tick for ~45 seconds.  Not sure, but maybe the smudge could be removed with a professional record cleaning machine. On Side 2 on tracks 1 & 3 there are some visible scratches, HOWEVER there’s only a slight tick during the piano solo on track 1 for ~30 seconds and track 3 is barely affected for just 1 or 2 minor pops.  Believe me, I took photos and listened to both tracks twice. The following is on the runout groove:

  • Side A): (etched) PRLP-7142-A  (stamped) AB RVG

  • Side B): (etched) PRLP-7142-B (stamped) AB RVG

The outer case is Excellent (EX) - very close to NM. There’s a small ink “498” in the upper left corner on the back cover. There are no splits and the front cover laminate is smooth & rich. (all reflected in the photos). All sales final.

NOTE:  This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment. Both the album cover and the inner sleeve & vinyl will be  contained within a plastic protective sleeve inside of the shipping box with padding on top & bottom
