Record Grade: VG++  (very clean vinyl. one or two paper scuffs or surface scratches that do not affect play)

Cover: VG+  (mild ring wear on front, very minor staining on back)

One massive break in the form of the track “Cool” is probably how you know this album. It is an impossibly rare outing by John Danser on the Grapevine Discovery label. I can’t tell you if this is the same Danser of  “Inferno” fame, but I can tell you that this record will never turn up nearly as much as that other one does.
 
“Cool” is one of the deepest rare groove jazz funk tracks I have ever heard. It’s right up there with Webster Lewis’ “Do You Belive”, in my opinion. It seriously sounds like a lost Timothy McNealy side. But the grooves don’t stop there. “Revelli Rock” is also a funky number, albeit a bit less known, that jumps out with an uptempo feel and few well placed drum and horn breaks. The rest of the album is quality straight up jazz, more or less.
