Description

John Denver Stonehaven Sunrise LP 1989 Australia only gatefold

Original Australian-only pressing on RCA, in gatefold sleeve.

John Denver was one of the top five best selling artists of all time with 14 gold and eight platinum albums in the United States and was popular around the world.

Born December 31st 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico.

Died at Pacific Grove, California On October 12 1997, when the single engined plane he was piloting crashed into the sea, he was 53 years old.

This album was recorded in 1989 and released in Australia. It was originally also scheduled for an American release, but was instead reworked into The Flower That Shattered The Stone the following year. The two albums are identical except that the former contains "You’re Still The One For Me" and "And So It Goes" instead of "The Flower That Shattered The Stone" and "Raven’s Child". "You’re Still The One For Me" is sung solo by Cassandra Delany, John’s second wife. "And So It Goes" was recorded by John with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and was on the record Will The Circle Be Broken Vol 2, which was 1989 Country Album Of The Year.
