Description

John Fahey's 5th LP in Near Mint condition. This is Riverboat RB1 and I'm pretty sure this is the only LP released on this label. This contains the original 32 page booklet with a story credited to a Charles Holloway Esq., but almost certainly written by Fahey. Of all the macabre early Fahey covers this one takes the cake, with a robed Fahey (guitar in his lap entwined by a rather large snake) holding the sainted Blind Joe Death (note the halo, wings, and cigar) in one hand, and (perhaps) the beautiful Linda Getchell (bared breasts with a bird body) in the other, accompanied by a snarling wolf, a rather ominous looking leopard, and a rat seated on a ribcage.
