Description
Vanguard VSD 79245, “Mirrors” with John Hammond, vocals and guitar; Charlie Musselwhite, harp; Robbie Robertson, and Mike Bloomfield, guitar; Levon Helm, drums; Jimmy Lewis, bass; Eric Hudson, organ from 1967. The tan-label vinyl plays at VG++ with very little background sound. The jacket is VG++ and in the original shrink wrap. There is just a bit of seamwear – mostly color loss – at the opening, while the rest of the seams are free of wear; corners are square; the slight ringwear appears to be on the shrink only; the jacket back is slightly age-toned; there are no bends, writing, or stamps. Songs are “I Wish You Would”, “They Call It Stormy Monday”, “Statesboro Blues”, “Key to the Highway”, “I Just Got Here”, “Traveling Riverside Blues”, “Stones in My Passway”, “Walking Blues”, “Death Don’t Have No Mercy”, “Motherless Willie Johnson”, “When You Are Gone”, “Rock Me Mama”, and “Get Right Church”. One half of the album is JH singing and playing solo; the other half has key figures from the Band and Paul Butterfield. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
