Up for bid is a 5 Lp set (in NM, like new condition) called Rock & Roll Never Forgets John Lennon. It was meant to be broadcast the week of September 13, 1982. This was one part in a series that was put out in the early '80s, it was a Friday or Saturday night program. Produced by Westwood One, this is a Promo Only, not for sale, thus very very rare indeed! This is a 3 hour Radio Show, that to me very much resembles a stretched out NPR program. It includes over 31 songs that spand The Beatles entire catalog and also John Lennon's Solo work. Mary Turner Narrates the show (sounds a lot like our Terry Gross) and it is packed with interviews by Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, George Martin, Anthony Faucet and Elliot Mince, and more. This show even includes the commercials! Brought to you by Budweiser , the king of beers and by Hawaiian Punch, nothing tastes like Hawaiian Punch.... and so forth. It comes with 3 sheets of paper that shows segment length, Incues and outcues, song titles and more. This was truly a very nostalgic listen, a great way to spend a couple of hours. I actually really enjoyed the mix of all the songs, they have a great mastering to them that is totally FM. All records are incased in a paper Lp sleeve and placed into a new cardboard jacket, and will be shipped in a sturdy lp mailer, properly padded. Now this is a great piece of history that would make any John Lennon Fan very happy. I can only accept paypal unless we make arrangements before you bid.
