John Lennon "8 Original LP" original German 33 1/3 rpm Long-playing (LP) eight phonograph record boxed set, Apple Records / EMI Electrola 400072. This eight-record boxed set was a Special Edition, released in extremely limited quantities. "Some Time In New York City" is a double album, so there are actually nine discs included. All of the phonograph records are on the Apple Records label. The box contains the original releases, issued between 1970 and 1975. All of the records contain either the traditional Apple labels (whole apple and cut apple), or custom Apple photo labels. All of the albums contain the original inner sleeves (some have company sleeves, some have lyric sleeves, and some have custom sleeves). "Walls And Bridges" has the original die-cut gatefold cover, and the original full-color picture/lyrics booklet is included. John Lennon "8 Original LP" (Special Limited Edition box set) was released in Germany, in 1980. The hinged box opens like a pizza box to reveal the eight fabulous solo albums released on Apple Records by John Lennon. The phonograph records are (1.) The Plastic Ono Band "Live Peace In Toronto 1969", (2.) John Lennon "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band", (3.) John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band "Imagine", (4.) John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band/Elephant's Memory "Some Time In New York City", (5.) John Lennon "Mind Games", (6.) John Lennon "Walls And Bridges", (7.) John Lennon "Rock 'N' Roll", (8.) and John Lennon "Shaved Fish". "Live Peace In Toronto 1969" was released in January of 1970. "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band" was released in February of 1971. "Imagine" was released in November of 1971. "Some Time In New York City" was released in October of 1972. "Mind Games" was released in December of 1973. "Walls And Bridges" was released in November of 1974. "Rock 'N' Roll" was released in April of 1975. "Shaved Fish" was released in December of 1975. The phonograph records have never been played, and are in near mint to mint condition. The records come in their original inner sleeves (some are paper and some are cardboard). The individual album covers are in excellent plus condition. The album covers all have a seam split in the middle of the left spine; otherwise, the covers are perfect. The album cover/box is in excellent plus condition. Each of the album covers (with record and inner sleeve) comes in a clear protective bag. As the "pizza box" style allowed the room, I was able to slip a clear bag on each one. This is the nicest copy of this incredible Special Limited Edition box set that you could find.
