Description

Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.

This is an auction for: John Lennon – Plastic Ono band – Vinyl LP album from 1970.

Great album released by Apple records.

Matrix on inner grooves: Side 1: YEX 827 – 1 U

                                            Side 2: YEX 828 – 1 U

Vinyl Condition: EX (Record is generally in lovely condition for its age. It is nice and shiny and has been well cared for. There are several light surface marks & light hairline marks and some very light surface scratches visible under light but nothing major. The record plays great with nice sound quality. There is the odd pop/click in places but again nothing major. This is a really nice condition record with some light cosmetic marks expected with a record of its age. Certainly a very nice example though).

Inner Sleeve Condition: Fair (Plain white inner sleeve is showing its age. It is very yellow indeed and has lots of yellow age/foxing dots. There are some rips and creases too. There is also a small price written in pen on the edge. I will include a new plain white polylined inner sleeve to keep the record nice).

Outer Sleeve Condition: VG (Fully laminated sleeve is in nice condition with some light ringwear and the usual creases to the laminate. The top and bottom corners at the opening have started to split approx 1cm each. Inside the sleeve there is a previous owners address stamped inside and there are some prices written in pen inside too, probably from the original shop its was bought from. Overall nice condition sleeve for a nice condition record).

I grade my vinyl’s as follows:

M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.

Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.

G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.

If you would like further information on sleeve or record condition then please email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Please note: Due to the large amount of CD’s and records that I am selling, I don’t have time to include the track listings. If the track listing is important to you then please email me and I will send you the track list.
