JOHN LENNON AND YOKO ONO: 'TWO VIRGINS' - ORIGINAL UK **1st PRESSING** STEREO LP - SAPCOR 2
This is a VERY SCARCE opportunity to purchase the **UK 1st Pressing Stereo** of John and Yoko's Controversial LP 'Two Virgins'
The album was very briefly issued in the UK in 1968, on the Dark Green Apple Label, with 'Sold in UK' and 'Manufactured in the UK' label text. The side 1 matrix is SAPCOR 2A-1 and the side 2 matrix is SAPCOR 2B-1, confirming this to be a 1st pressing. The side 1 stampers are: '1', & 'A', and the side 2 stampers are: '1', & 'H'.
The LP comes in its original Black Inner Bag and is housed in the extremely controversial full laminated sleeve, which features John and Yoko Nude on both the front and reverse of the sleeve.
Now for the grading - As you will see from the scans provided, both sides of the record labels are in CLEAN excellent plus condition – BRIGHT and UNWORN labels, showing only minimal spider marks. Both sides of the heavyweight Vinyl LP are in respectable excellent condition – Bright, Clean Vinyl showing only minimal surface marks, but certainly nothing major. Both sides of the sleeve are graded in very good (vg) condition. As you will see from the scans provided, the sleeve is bright and clean, however there is the usual record indentation/creasing/laminate lifting evident to the front and reverse of the sleeve. This is very common with this scarce LP due to the extremely flimsy construction of the sleeve and the heavy weight of the Vinyl Disc pushing into the sleeve.
HARDLY SEEN IN STOCK now days, this is an EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND John & Yoko **UK 1st Pressing** - not to be missed!
Please note that to comply with Ebay regulations, so as not to cause a violation, we have loosely placed 'censored' labels to the obvious parts which may offend!
