Description

A brand new, never played copy of the 8 album U.K. import box set of John Lennon. Includes his first 8 solo LP's, all in the original jackets & come with all the original stuff- "Walls & Bridges" has the original fold out cover, photo inner sleeve & 8-page lyric book-inner sleeve with lyrics for "Imagine", "Shaved Fish" & "Mind Games" & the re-used Frank Zappa inner sleeve for the double LP "Sometime in New York City". All the others have plain white inner sleeves & all are on the Apple label ("Imagine" has a Lennon photo for one label). This box has 8 LP's & 9 discs, as the NYC LP is a double & has 95 tracks & comes with a 12" x 8" 20 page B&W booklet with lots of photos on John's life. The only problem is in photo #11-the back of the "Live Peace in Toronto" LP has some scratches to the back of the jacket-this is the way I received it, so lousy quality control where it was assembled. The box itself has a few problems, what I call shipping damage-again this is the way I got it brand new-the box has some scratches & dirt on the front & back due to the color of the box-it's silver & white, but it's still pretty good-it's a hinged 2-piece box with minor corner damage. Imports were never shrink wrapped so some damage was bound to occur. If you're not a stickler for the box, the vinyl is primo & has never been played. A very nice piece & this is the original version of this box set.
