How many times have I picked up a near mint looking copy of W&B only to find it plays great - but not perfectly throughout. Many many times. But finnnaallly I hooked that sucker! That super clean copy that is so elusive. Here it is....>>>
An original 1st press of W&B on the UK Apple label. Matrix Z5/Z6 - 1st cut. These original 1st pressings have the original US catalogue details crossed out in the deadwax. FACTORY SAMPLE sticker on side 1. Stampers 1A/1AL. The vinyl comes housed in the very unique and very difficult to preserve original cover. We also have the original bespoke inner sleeve and the booklet. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. We will ship in a MOFI sleeve for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wow.. this is the real deal. It's a beaut with mirror shiny surfaces and just a few very very insignificant marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. An absolute beaut from the outset - super clean audio. So where are the pitfalls that usually trip up most copies? BLESS YOU is the one on Side 1. Very trippy and low-key...truly a nightmare to find playing clean. But here it is... CLEAN throughout. The wolf call at the start of SCARED.. CLEAN! A couple of crackles in the intro to Steel & Glass - but beautifully clean. High pitch whine in the intro to Beef Jerky - CLEAN. Nobody Love's You... a total nightmare to find clean... is ... yes you guessed it... a clean player [never heard it like that before]. No signs of distortion either - which can be a problem in this track. Ya Ya - absolutely clean... [And breath...]. So, there you have it. FINAL UPGRADE. Doesn't come round that often.
Cover (Ex) An utter pain in the derriere to find preserved well. The printers must have really choked on their coffee when they found out how the cover was going to be laid out! Those flip over panels on the front are incredibly susceptible to wear, bending, and tearing. Just finding one looking like this is a bit of a task. But they are looking real good here with sharp edges and no signs of tearing. Worth mentioning that front and back are looking clean and unaged - very nice. The front is close on perfect. The rear just exhibits one miniscule nick at the top and a slight crease to the bottom end of the spine. Edge wear is very slight for this title and the top openings are still sharp. Just a very slight amount at the bottom middle of the rear panel. The spine is much better than yo typically find - just slightest wear [I'll re-take the photo in the morning it's way too blurry]. Overall a feast for the eyes - and tremendously well preserved.
Inner (Ex) Super condition with no splits. One tiny patch of wear at the bottom middle edge.
Booklet (Ex-) A couple of slight creases. Otherwise AOK.
