Description

An original 1st press of W&Bs on the UK Apple label. Matrix Z5/Z6 [1st cut]. The 1st pressings show dual catalogue numbers in the deadwax [the UK + the USA cat numbers]. The vinyl comes housed in an original Double-Flap cover. Would have been a bit of a nightmare for the printers! And an equally difficult proposition is to try and maintain it in anything approaching decent condition. We also have the original bespoke inner sleeve and the accompanying booklet. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of insignificant marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with two slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Truly a superb example - only very lightly used copies are going to manage to play the quieter moments properly clean. But this copy is a stellar performer. There's very little background to speak of. It just plays real sweet all the way through. The only issues I could pick out were very minor. Just a couple of brief ticks in 'Old Dirt Road'. A further tick in the wolf-howl at the start of 'Scared'. Steel & Glass plays real nice and clean and so does 'Nobody Loves ya' & 'Ya-Ya'. A really sweet original player. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Ok, there are so many problems that can befall the original version of the cover - that the list would be endless! But occasionally you manage to source a really carefully looked after specimen - like this example. A perfectly flat front without ageing. Those flaps are gonna be a nightmare to find intact - without wear or tearing. An incredibly light crease in the extreme top right corner of the cover [that's all I can make out].  And ditto the rear - but in the top left corner. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the spine is completely intact. All text fully legible - now that is really really hard to find. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) In excellent order. No issues. No splits.
Booklet (Ex) Excellent order. All pages intact and not heavily thumbed. No ageing.
