Mega RARE Factory Sample issue of John Lennon's UK album Walls and Bridges with booklet and inner sleeve and all in superb condition. John Lennon Apple 1974. FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE label on the A-side. First Pressing with the correct Matrix YEX 937- Z5 & YEX 938- Z6 (right next to the edge of the Apple label) with the SW number crossed out and at 9 and 3 o'clock in the run out grooves M C R and 2 G. Also first pressings have no other serial numbers above the PCTC 253 STEREO black lettering. (Reissues from the 80s don't have this on BOTH sides and have a large 3 digit number running vertically instead like 128 or 163) Vinyl is near MINT and is play tested both sides ( again another LP which I've only played maybe 2 or 3 times in over 40 odd years of my ownership, including just now) and it plays great, NO skips/sticks. A little bit of crackle in the quiet parts. More so at the end of Going Down With Love and Old Dirt Road. The original Garrod & Lofthouse matt sleeve is EX with some tiny creases, 4 x corner tip bumps, marks, spine lettering is still nice and clear. Booklet is Excellent with lightly rusty staples. Inner sleeve is also Excellent with the correct square shape and opening notches. 80s reissues have rounded corners and the opening notch is on the other side (John's face). Watch out for these reissues when you try to purchase a genuine first pressing. Please look at and study all the pics. If you need more let me know.
