JOHN MARTYN - 'LONDON CONVERSATION'
This spectacular NEAR MINT UK 1st MONO pressing of his debut album dates from initial October 1967 release.
It is on early 'orange eye', textured pink Island label: ILP 952
Matrices: ILP + 952 A- & ILP + 952 B-
Vinyl weight: 155g
The disc is housed within front laminated 'E. J. Day Group.' printed cover, complete with its original 'Patent No.' inner-sleeve.

A perfect pair with no spindle marks or wear to or around either unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a few harmless inner-sleeve storage marks on side 1 are unmarked in strong daylight an display only a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines from inner-sleeve insertion and a sparkling rainbow shine directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this outstanding copy lie 100% flat when playing on the turntable.
Sound Quality: MINT
Wonderful clean, warm & clear sound form this barely played copy. Every track plays beautifully and completely free form any trace of groove/playwear or background interference/crackle. My single careful playcheck detected absolutely no clicks, pops, ticks or any audible distraction of any kind. you will not find a better sounding copy of this fine album.

Cover: EXCELLENT +
A clean & unworn example of this easily blemished cover which retains an unscratched high-gloss front laminate where the only sign of wear are two small spits which appear to be manufacturing defects rather than damage or wear. There are a few age-spots to towards the opening edge but these are faint and do not spoil the overall appearance. All corners are sharp and totally unworn, as are both of the opening edges. Apart form some minor foxing, the rear panel is clean, white and unmarked and free form any writing or missing paper
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean & fully worded.
