Description

1973 album from John Martyn. Solid Air. Gatefold sleeve. Island records ILPS 9226
A1: Solid Air A2: Over The Hill A3: Don't Want To Know A4: I'd Rather Be The Devil B1: Go Down Easy B2: Dreams By The Sea B3: May You Never B4: The Man In The Station B5: The Easy Blues
There are some light surface marks. Side 1: Solid Air has some pops halfway through but it plays through it and is good after. Over The Hill is excellent. Don't Want To Know is very good. I'd Rather Be The Devil is excellent. Side 2: There is some light crackle in Go Down Easy. Dreams By The Sea is very good. May You Never is also very good. The Man In The Station is excellent. The Easy Blues is also very good. All in all not bad. Apart from the obvious blemish on the title track and a bit of crackle on Go Down Easy, the record plays very well.
The gatefold sleeve has some wear at the edges and slight ring wear. No writing or stickers. The inner sleeve is a blue Island polylined inner of which the outer paper has come apart but the poly inner is intact. Labels are clean.
