Description

An original 1st mono press of HR on the UK Decca label from 1967. Matrix 2A/2A - very 1st cut. Stampers 1-UU/1-BB. Please note the labels exhibit the Decca deep groove and this will only be found on 1st pressings. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace mono cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve date date coded to late-spring 1967. So, 100^ genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few light marks per side - absolutely nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A storming rendition which delivers some really nice audio...it's a belter!  Whether that's in the low-key moments or in the more complex passages expect clean audio - and little to find fault with. Interference is largely absent. All I could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. Please note that the side 1 has been autographed.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and fairing significantly better than most copies that tend to surface these days. Lovely clean and shiny front with a couple of crease over toward the opening. The rear has escaped the worst ravages of the ageing process - just a light amount out at the extremities. Please note there's a signature in the top right corner. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine almost entirely intact. All text still nice and legible with just one slight knock right in the centre. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit of ageing in places. No splits..
