Rare unboxed Decca first pressing on heavy vinyl. The stereo version of this LP did not come out until 1969 in the UK and was only available for a short period of time until Decca went with a boxed label on thinner vinyl with a big drop in sound quality. This disc has 1W in the run out grooves on both sides. Fantastic sound quality on this classic recording with killer dynamics. Eric Clapton wrote the book with his sunburst Gibson Les Paul into a Marshall amp on this LP. Only a few spindle marks on this disc and a couple of very tiny surface scratches that are inaudible. Near mint vinyl with quiet surfaces. Cover has some lamination wear so I am rating the cover VG+. The back cover has a bit of browning around the edges from age. If the cover were cleaner the price would be much higher so you are getting a great sounding record at a fair price. The record is the star here and will not let you down. In fact, expect to be blown way with the sound of this (way better than the US pressings). Correct original era inner sleeve. This has been cleaned on a pro VPI 17F record cleaning machine which vastly lowers the noise floor and improves the sound of any record dramatically. While eBay requires us to post Media Mail at $4 I highly encourage any US buyer to pay $7 extra and use Priority Mail as it is a much faster service and records get much better treatment during shipping. Media Mail can also be very slow at times (up to two weeks) while Priority Mail is 2-3 days anywhere in the US. No hassle return policy.
