Description

An original mono 1st press of 'Looking Back' on UK Decca. Matrix 2K/2K. Stampers 1C/1K - placing this copy amongst the first few thousand ever pressed. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original blue and white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Beautiful mono audio as you would expect from this quality Decca pressing. A lovely clean player with excellent acoustics. All I could detect were a few minor isolated crackles in, perhaps, one track per side [e.g. during "Mr James"]. 'Rain' plays amazingly clean. A really clean player throughout. Gotta love it!
Cover (Ex-) A lovely shiny looking cover with  barely a crease. Perhaps just a bit of ageing creeping in at the extremities on the rear. That front panel is looking very fine indeed - with excellent rigidity. Ditto the rear. The interior is superb too - nothing noticeable. There's little edge wear and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact - just a bit of ageing apparent. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag still present. No splits.
