Description
Released in 2005, Fair and Square stands as a deeply moving and universally acclaimed studio album from legendary American singer songwriter John Prine. Serving as his first collection of original material in nearly a decade, the record brilliantly reaffirms Prine unmatched ability to blend whimsical humor with profound observations on everyday life and social themes. The production frames his weathered, expressive vocals with rich acoustic arrangements, delivering standout tracks such as Some Humans Ain't Human, Long Monday, and the beautifully reflective Glory Of True Love. The album achieved widespread critical success, earning the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album and reinforcing Prine status as a master musical storyteller. This pristine double vinyl pressing released on Prine own independent label Oh Boy Records under catalog number OBR 034 represents an essential and highly collectible milestone for enthusiasts of contemporary folk, americana, and classic roots music.
