Description
John Robinson
Pity for the Victim
Original OZ press on the Infinity label catalog # L 35,309 and made in Australia 1974
Comments:
Highly regarded Sydney-based John Robinson has been one of Australia's most renowned guitarists for more than thirty years.
Some groups John has been involved with over the years are:
Dave Miller Set
Blackfeather
Duck
On this record his first solo album project it featured an all-star lineup including some of the best singers of the period -- Bobbi Marchini, Alison MacCallum, Barry Leef, Jeff St. John and Janice Slater-- with Patrick Bleakley, Benny Kaika and Teddy Toi (bass), Julie Pearson and Bobby Gebert (keyboards), Steve Webb and Bruno Lawrence (drums) and Larry Duryea (percussion). It is now a sought-after collectors' item -- only about 1000 copies were pressed according to John and it remains one of the great 'lost treasures' of Seventies Oz music.
Condition:
Record: VG+
This is a very nice copy and has only some very minor scuff marks that do not affect the play. It plays great with a clear sound.
Sleeve: VG+
There is slight rubbing along the RHS of the front cover and also slight ring wear on the back cover. The inside gatefold looks good.
Labels: VG+
Both very clean
