Description
I am offering a copy of John Tavener's 1970 album The Whale Apple SAPCOR 15.
Tavener first came to prominence in 1968 with his dramatic cantata The Whale, based on the Old Testament story of Jonah. It was premièred at the London Sinfonietta's début concert, which was also the opening concert of the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Tavener's younger brother, Roger, was then doing some building work on Ringo Starr's home and, gaining the musician's interest, persuaded the Beatles to have The Whale recorded by Apple Records and released in 1970.
The record is in near mint condition which when you consider the age is amazing.
The cover has a small "Boots" sticker in the bottom right corner a very minimal edge wear.
I am selling off some of my vinyl collection so please check out my other items.
This will be sent on a overnight next day currier so will need to be signed for.
Thank you for looking & please contact me with any questions.
