Description
Please, allow me to introduce myself quoting another old rock cliché: maybe I am too young on ebay but too old into this triptych of buy, sell and trade records as I’ve not only been a dedicated follower of collecting but a co-owner of second hand record shops, an A&R executive at record companies, a chief editor in music magazines, a radio dj etc for the last 30 years in Greece! So, a hell of a lot of rare and collectable items such as out-of-print original records, first pressings, special editions, promo samples, white labels, test pressings, magazines, posters, catalogues, memorabilia and other fetish objects of desire in 5, 7, 10 and 12 inches not only from Greece but from all over the world are going to be exhibited through these pages … Turn on and stay tuned!
So, this is a fine copy of the extremely rare 33 1/3 rpm 12-inch Picture Disk pressing of John Williams' "Jurassic Park" original soundtrack printed in Germany on BMG / MCA Records, bar code 0 08811 08971 9, cat no. MCA 10897, and matrix no. MCA-10897 A DMM on the A side [title/logo & park photo] and MCA-10897 B DMM on the B side [dino / information side].
A1 Opening Titles 0:33 A2 Theme From Jurassic Park 3:27 A3 Incident At Isla Nublar 5:20 A4 Journey To The Island 8:51 A5 The Raptor Attack 2:49 A6 Hatching Baby Raptor 3:21 A7 Welcome To Jurassic Park 7:55 A8 My Friend, The Brachiosaurus 4:16 B1 Dennis Steals The Embryo 4:56 B2 A Tree For My Bed 2:12 B3 High-Wire Stunts 4:08 B4 Remembering Petticoat Lane 2:48 B5 Jurassic Park Gate 2:04 B6 Eye To Eye 6:32 B7 T-Rex Rescue And Finale 7:40 B8 End Credits 3:25
An original picture disc that was produced in very limited quantities and deleted upon release this must have item for every devoted fan of film music does not get offered up too often.[note: I read somewhere that the 2012 Osborne Price Guide states "MCA / BMG 10897 includes issues with this number regardless of origin" and prices it between $800 and $1200(!!!!) but I do not have this book! So, do not miss …
