Description

  • Crestview Records CRV 803, this is an original mono vinyl pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the classic John Zacherle album "Monster Gallery". Zacherle is well known for hosting "Shock Theater" in Philly in the 50's and "Chiller Theatre" in NY in the 60's, along with all of his music related outings. Jacket is beautiful NM-, showing barely any signs of wear outside of the slightest tanning on back and a couple of small corner bumps; there are no splits, writing, or tears to be found. LP is a shiny and clean EX (excellent)/EX-, showing some minor paper marks/age spotting and a few pressing bubbles. Playback is solid throughout, although there is some crackle at times during quieter interludes and a few pops that seem to be more a reflection of the quality of the pressing rather than the condition of the record. Labels are crisp with no spindle wear. This one is usually beat since it was aimed at the younger demographic, so to find a nice one like this is rather rare! NOTE: US Postal rates have increased as of January 27th.
