Description
Up for bid is a rare LP, "Wanted One Soul Singer," by Johnnie Taylor. See pictures for song list. This was released by Stax Records (715) in 1967. Etched matrix info reads STX-12497-A / STX-12498-A. LP is VG+, with several scuffs and a couple of light scratches on either side. there is very light spindle wear on side 1. LP plays with some surface noise (some crackle, tics, and some pops), but with no skips. I am sure a professional clean would eliminate some of the surface noise. LP retains a nice gloss. Jacket is VG+, with a couple of very small seam splits. The first is on the top seam, at the intersection of the top seam and the spine (this is about 1/4 inch long). The second is on the bottom seam in the bottom right corner. This starts at the mouth and travels toward the spine about 1/8 inch. There is wear on all seams and corners. There is a small hole drilled in the top right corner / back top left corner. There is ring wear on the front and back of the jacket. There is some discoloration on the back. See pictures of jacket to verify the description. This is a very nice copy of this hard to find LP - don't miss your chance to pick up this rare gem!
