Johnny Barfield & the Men From S.O.U.L. - We've Got That / Since I Left You (Peggy Sue 1006) NM

Stupidly rare 2nd 45 from Johnny Barfield & the Men From S.O.U.L. from Columbus Georgia. This is the follow up to "Mr. Starlight" which came out on Peggy Sue and Shelby Singleton's SSS label. Singleton did not pick up this 45 for distribution, however, and it is rarely seen today as a result. We've Got That is a cover of the tune by Bobby Moore & the Rhythm Aces (who were originally from nearby Phenix City Alabama) and Since I Left You is a ballad in a similar vein as Mr. Starlight. This 45 had a very small press run on Ed Mendel's Peggy Sue label.
