Johnny Burnette and The Rock 'N' Roll Trio

12" Vinyl LP - Rare US Press, we assume this is a 1956 first press, but we are not sure so please do your own research if this is crucial to you

Please read carefully before buying or bidding :

On visual inspection, this record is far from mint, the playing surface is very dulled and there are many small fine scratches, although we can find none that are feelable with a fingertip

However, as collectors know, old vinyl such as this can still play well even if it is well worn.

We have fully play tested this record and it did not stick and we heard no skips or jumps.  It played all the way through with some light noise and light pops in places, but overall it is a good listen (some damn good music as well!).  This is a usable copy of a rare record, not merely a collection filler.

The sleeve has some damage to the spine (see photos), but the bottom and top edges are unsplit.  It has a bit of mottling to the surface - please see the photos, but overall it is in decent condition for its age

Postage & Packing

Protective packaging is important, our packing includes:

  • Removing the record from the sleeve to avoid seam splits
  • Putting the record in a plastic sleeve to avoid sleeve wear
  • Posting in special custom record mailers
  • Cardboard stiffening is included to avoid bends

Grading

For vinyl we use the Rare Record Guide grading system detailed below:

MINT The LP or single is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT The LP or single shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD The LP or single has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and an occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and contents without any major defects.

GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Please note - a helpful person has messaged us to tell us that the original issue has "printed in USA" in the bottom right of the front of the cover.  We're not sure if this is correct or not, as we say in the listing please do your own research on this before bidding if this is important to you.
