Hallo zusammen,

Ich biete hier eine Johnny Cash EP / SUN SEP 117 an, von allen veröffentlichten SUN EP´s ist diese die rarste vom Man in Black.

Cover und Platte sind altersbedingt in gutem Zustand, ich gebe die EP auch nur ab, weil ich vor 3 Wochen ein Topexemplar bekommen habe! Die Platte stammt aus einer gepflegten Sammlung von ca. 200 SUN Singles, EP´s und Schellacks.

Beschreibung:

Das Cover ist aus sehr dickem Karton, wie üblich bei USA EP´s. Am Einschub kann man Gebrauchsspuren entdecken, siehe Fotos. Die Ecken sind noch schön scharf.

Innen sieht es so aus, als ob das Cover schon mal “repariert” wurde, an derselben Stelle kann man außen allerdings keinen Riss oder ähnliches erkennen, siehe Fotos.

Alles in allem würde ich das Cover VG / VG+ einstufen.

Die Platte ist in gutem optischen und akustischen Zustand mit gelegentlichen Knacksern oder Fremdgeräuschen, die aber zu keiner Zeit überhand nehmen. Beide Labels sind sauber. Im Dead Wax sind das Delta / Dreieck zu erkennen, welches die Platte als Original kennzeichnet ( West Coast Pressung der Firma Monarch, Los Angeles ). Dem Delta folgt die Zahl 15501 / 15502.  Durch Recherche kann man hier erkennen, dass die Platte im Mai 1957 gepresst wurde.

Alles in allem stufe ich die Platte ebenfalls als VG / VG+ ein.

Versandt wird die EP in einem Singlekarton, auf Wunsch gerne als EInschreiben innerhalb Deutschlands zu 3,60 EUR oder unversichert ( auf eigene Gefahr ) für 1,45 EUR. Versicherter Versand ist möglich, Versand ins Ausland auf Anfrage auch ( bitte vorab die Portokosten erfragen! ).

Innerhalb Deutschlands und Europas nur Banküberweisung per IBAN und BIC, kein paypal. Bei inetrnationalen Käufen ist paypal möglich.

I am offering a nice copy of a Johnny Cash SUN EP. It´s SEP 117 and it´s the rarest of all issued SUN EP´s by the Man in Black.

Record and sleeve are in nice condition for its age, I´m just parting with it because I got a top copy three weeks ago. This EP is from a nice collection of about 200 SUN 45´s, EP´s and 78 rpm´s.

Description:

The cover / picture sleeve is made of thick cardboard like most USA covers are. You can see usage at the opening but the corners are sharp. Please see the pics for details.

I am not sure about it but it looks like the bottom of the sleeve has been repaired / fix, see pics. On the outside nothing can be seen, there´s no seam split.

Therefore I would grade the sleeve a nice VG / VG+.

The record plays nicely with just minor background noise that´s definitely not overwhelming the music which is very enjoyable. This one was my own EP for my collection and I just give it away since I found an upgrade and final copy. The labels are absolutely clean. The dead wax area shows a small triangle / delta followed by the numbers 15501 / 15502 which indicate that this is an original pressing from May 1957, manufactured by the Monarch pressing plant in Los Angeles ( West coast pressing ).

Altogether this is a nice VG / VG+ copy of the record.

The EP will be sent in a sturdy record mailer. I can send it by registered mail within Germany for 3,60 EUR or uninsured for 1,45 EUR. Insurance is an option as well. I can send it international, too. Please be so kind and ask for the shipping rates BEFORE the auction closes!
