Description

Johnny Cash - With His Hot and Blue Guitar
 Sun Records LP 1220
This is a Used, VERY RARE, Original, First Pressing and  His First Recording on SUN Records, recorded in 1957.  This is a Mono recording.  The Cover is in Good condition, it shows some wear with a corner ding, some ghosting along the top, a faint ring wear along the top and a 4.5" split along the top seam.  The Vinyl is in VG condition, with high sheen and is fairly clean, but does have a couple of minor surface marks that do not affect the sound.  No skips were observed when testing - sounded pretty darn good YEE HA!!!  Album comes with inner and outer plastic sleeves.

This recording has never been released on CD.  It is considered to be one of the best of Johnny Cash's albums, ever.

This album features his first single, "Cry! Cry! Cry!," as well as its follow-ups, "Folsom Prison Blues" and "I Walk the Line." A milestone in rock music history in its compelling combination of primal country music and raw, earthy rock & roll, the album also charts the major elements of Cash's future musical direction--train songs, with "The Wreck of Old '97," prison songs in the aforementioned "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Doin' My Time," gospel material in "I Was There When It Happened," and reminiscences of his early, dirt-poor country years in "Country Boy." This release includes the added bonus of "Hey, Porter!" (the original B-side of "Cry! Cry! Cry!"), as well as four previously unreleased alternate takes.
