Description

Original 1972 U.S. stereo pressing of Hot! Hot! Hot! Caliente De Vicio by Johnny Colón on Cotique Records (CS-1067), red & orange label variant. A firecracker of Latin soul, salsa dura, and boogaloo from East Harlem’s piano prodigy and bandleader.

Produced by Larry Harlow and featuring a deep bench of New York Latin talent, the album is a rhythmic tour through hard timbales, sultry boleros, and classic brass-led arrangements. Includes the standout boogaloo track Merecumbe, mellow lounge cover of Misty, and high-octane salsa anthem El Callo.

Pressed at Sonic Recording Products and lacquer cut at Sterling Sound. A must-have for collectors of early 70s Nuyorican heat.
