Description
Up for bid is a rare LP released on Blue Note Records. Johnny Griffin Volume 2 Blue Note 1559. Pressing for your consideration features the 47 West 63rd New York 23 address on the label, and is a mono, microgroove pressing. Also featured in the dead wax is RVG and the ear insignia indicating the work of Rudy Van Gelder. This is a rare original pressing, however the visual condition grading of the LP is VG-. There are numerous scratches and scuffs on both sides of the disc, but with the benefit of the deep groove pressing, playback is not interrupted by any skips though there is surface noise throughout that is mostly noticeable in the quieter passages. The sleeve is very poor condition, as only the front of the sleeve is included. There is no back cover, so the jacket is incomplete. Though not in the best condition this is a very rare pressing of an incredible LP. This is a great opportunity to get this original pressing for a super low price.
