Description
This is the original deep-groove pressing of Johnny Griffin “Sextet” on the blue and silver reel logo labels of Riverside RLP 12-264. The playing surface has one inaudible hairline and another that has just two quiet tics at the beginning of “Catharsis” (Side 2, Track 2); otherwise, both surfaces have a high luster; perhaps played once or twice. The laminated cover is bright and clean throughout; 1/8” wear at the corners of the opening; a few light foxing areas at the top of the back slick. Personnel include Donald Byrd, Pepper Adams, Kenny Drew, Wilbur Ware, and Philly Joe Jones. We do not accept PayPal.
