Description

Vinyl: NM / NM‑ with full gloss and strong, clean playback. Labels are bright Columbia red with no writing or stickers. Side A has a tiny edge scuff at roughly the 10 o’clock position—no more than 1/4\" (likely less), only visible under strong light, and it does not affect play. Matrix in runout reads ZSP 48858‑1K, confirming first pressing. No other marks noted.

Sleeve: NM‑ original 1959 orange picture sleeve featuring Johnny (bottom left) and Rudolph (bottom right). Vibrant color, intact seams, and sharp presentation. A small ripple at the bottom right corner keeps it just shy of full M-, but it remains crisp and highly collectible.

This is a scarce holiday novelty 45 from Johnny Horton’s Columbia catalog, issued in 1959 and complete with the vibrant orange Rudolph picture sleeve. Most copies surface without the sleeve, making this example especially desirable. With clean playback, bright labels, and only minor cosmetic flaws, it’s a strong collector piece that combines Horton’s rockabilly charm with Christmas nostalgia. A perfect addition for serious Johnny Horton fans, holiday record collectors, or anyone hunting for rare Columbia picture sleeves.
