British 1972 1st issue of the children's album 'The Railway Stories (Vol.1)' (1961) featuring Johnny Morris narrating several Thomas the Tank Engine stories, originally written by the Reverend W. Awdry.

This release features reddish orange labels with boxed silver Decca logo.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): Vinyl: G-VG. Clean on visual inspection. Small scuff mark area on side 1 through tracks 1-2, larger scuffed area in tracks 1-2 on side 2. No other obvious signs of marks, scuffs or scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is good. Some surface noise at run-ins and static in places. Light clicking through above defects. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. An enjoyable listen overall.
Outer sleeve (cover): G-VG. Colours are bright, unfaded and clean. Wonderful laminated front. Lots of decreasing in from spine and some 80s. Curved creases across front mainly towards right and bottom. Ages I'll clean and I'm worn. Spine readable but split in many places. Corners show some wear and bowing but nothing too bad. Aperture has light peeling and soiling. Reverse side discoloured along spine split flipover and around edges, notably bottom. All text readable. Overall good.
Inner sleeve: EX. Original blue Decca sleeve. White poly-lined paper with centre hole and square corners. Clean and intact.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
