Good British 1966 release.
Music by Johnny Pearson. Narrated by Derek Nimmo, Dorothy Gordon, Kynaston Reeves, Redvers Kyle, Sydney Monckton, Van Boolen, Wilfred Babbage.
For nearly 40 years, children have been revelling in the adventures of Larry the Lamb and Ernest the Policeman. First broadcast by the BBC in 1929 and produced regularly ever since, the Toytown stories have proved to be one of the most successful children serious yet devised.
Condition Vinyl – G+. Some scuffing, marks and hairlines on both sides. Light static and low surface noise throughout. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good. No skipping, jumping or sticking. Vocals and music sound clear in spite of visual condition. This has been a well played album in its time. Outer sleeve (cover) – G+. Colours are unfaded and no tears on sleeve. Laminated front cover. Corners dented and worn. Spine clean and unworn but shows creasing all along. Aperture shows wear and soiling. Top and bottom edges generally clean and unscuffed. Front has veinlike creases in from all edges and other curved creasing across right side. Some delamination where disc outline appears at top. Reverse has some soiling mainly on left but flipbacks are clean and generally intact; top left slightly detached. Some soiling elsewhere e.g. disc outline at top. Overall, a good example. Inner sleeve – VG. Original. White paper with EMI MFP album thumbnails in duotone pink on both sides. Light wear and creases to aperture. Clean and intact.
