Description
Johnny Preston U.K. (English) Mercury EP 'Johnny 'Running Bear' Preston' in EX condition record wise - a fantastic, clear, almost flawless player. There are a couple of the lightest lines on the play surfaces that have absolutely no effect on audio - nothing else except the very lightest noise between tracks - hard to find a better record - great fidelity, with plenty of 'bottom end'.
Labels are also in great condition - I've added another photo to show that I've been able to gently remove a taped on number that was on side1 without causing any damage.Just the lightest opaque mark over the Mercury logo. There are royalty stamps on both sides, one of which has been used to initial the owners name? - looks fine though. Also a few very light spindle lines.
This EP must have been imported by EMI for sale in Australia as the tax stamps indicate 'Southern Music Sydney' on side 1. & 'Jewel' on side 2.
OK,that's the record, now what can one say about this cover, except to bemoan the tragedy of the actions of the former owner in cutting a (neat) hole out of the centre to store on some sort of 'bill spike'.Please look at the pictures to see how this otherwise almost perfect cover has been compromised.Laminated front and rear, which has protected it from wear, and displays the slightest of rubbing over the ring area front & rear - also a few light creases on the corners.*******Forgive the rave, but I had to be precise with my description********
