Description
"Harvest" by Jon Raven, complete with lyric booklet - UK Broadside LP released in 1976. This is the only one I've ever seen: in fact there's only one I can find for sale elsewhere on the internet (through Rockin' World, at $125 without the booklet and apparently not in comparable condition).
What's the Nic Jones connection? Nic Jones is NOT on this recording (though they made an album together for Trailer - "Songs of a Changing World" - a few years earlier), but if you know Nic's music you will appreciate Jon Raven, whose voice is similar.
Cover, disc and large format lyric booklet are all in excellent condition, with no significant flaws. The staples in the booklet are rusted but fully intact, and the booklet is still firmly bound. Otherwise without fault.
The cover is clean and sharp: no bends, writing or marks. The record appears to have been played a couple of times only - there are very few marks on either the disc surfaces or labels. PLEASE NOTE that the blurry pictures are the result of my scanning: the cover images are in fact very sharp and clean.
Eleven tracks, all written by Jon Raven, who plays guitar and dulcimer. Nigel Mazlyn Jones plays 6-string, 12-string and electric guitar, and bass. Dave Oxley plays fiddle and bowed psaltery.
