Description
For sale is this immaculate vintage vinyl LP of JONI MITCHELL - BLUE on Reprise Records 1971. This beautiful copy is a genuine 1971 UK 1st Pressing. It features hessian textured Gatefold and still has its indigo blue inner. The disc has mustard yellow Reprise labels. Catalogue number is K44128. The matrices are as follows:
Side One: K-44128-A1 Side Two: K-44128-B1
Condition*:
The sleeve is graded EX with very light wear. The front surface is near perfect with only a very small area of wear to the hessian texture adjacent to the bottom edge. There is slight wear to all four corners. There are no significant signs of handling. The edges and spine have light wear with slightly more wear to the top edges of the gatefold. The reverse has slight wear to the textured surface. There is no significant creasing to the sleeve, only very minor creases adjacent to the spine. The inside of the gatefold is excellent. The original indigo blue inner sleeve is wonderful with a crease in one corner. Overall a really superb example of this beautiful sleeve.
The disc is graded a very strong VG+. The surfaces are dark and lustrous. Under strong light there are some light surfaces marks but nothing to intrude unduly into the audio. There are no deep scratches. The disc has been played through in its entirety from start to finish and plays without fault. Side one plays beautifully with a little low surface crackle here and there. The mastering is wonderful, bright and sparse. Side two sounds as if it has had a little more play but plays through flawlessly. There is a little more crackle and surface. Overall a beautiful, clean, bright example of this precious 1st Pressing. I cannot commend it highly enough.

I am just selling a small number of records. I have given an honest appraisal based on careful visual inspection and thorough play testing. I do try to describe all significant faults and where possible photograph them and I certainly won't intentionally hide anything. Please read the description carefully, look at the pictures and make your own mind up. The grading scale I have used goes from G to NM with VG+ as par. In other words: Good (G), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Excellent (EX) and Near Mint (NM). Anything better than that would be Mint and would be listed as new. Anything worse than Good I probably wouldn't be selling.
