Description
An immaculate condition vinyl LP copy of Joni Mitchell’s second live concert double album ‘Shadows And Light’ recorded at Santa Barbara, California in September 1979 and issued in 1980 (Asylum Records catalogue no. K62030).
Joni Mitchell is accompanied by the Pat Metheny Group, augmented by Michael Brecker on saxophone and the distinctive sound of Jaco Pastorius on bass. Almost all the songs are from Joni’s ‘jazz-rock’ period (1973 onwards) and the overall sound of the concert is similar to that of the Hejira album.
The discs, gatefold cover and paper inner sleeves are in immaculate condition, with no marks, scratches, creases or other signs of wear whatsoever. As a live recording this has some rough edges, and there is some limited surface noise in places on the record – though this is not due to damage but was like that from new (in fact my first copy of the album was changed by the record shop and the second copy was just the same).
