Description

WITHOUT SEX by JOSEF GARRET (PATRICK FITZGERALD)
1981 Ellie Jay Records 7-inch single AHPF 001
Very cool secret alias single (see the story further below) and pretty scarce in excellent condition.
Check out the pix and see what you think.
NB - Happy to combine postage for records* to save you some money. Just request an invoice before paying. (* I recommend no more than 2 or 3 per package but could combine more if necessary, just ask.)
Info found online: Patrik Fitzgerald has this to say on the single: "This was released as a very limited edition single in about 1982. A fan, Andrew Hoddle, liked the song and the b-side 'Pop Star, Pop Star' & dug into his own savings to press some copies with a little pressing place called Ellie Jay Records. I thought it was a bit different to my other stuff so decided to call myself Josef Garret (my middle name is Joseph and of course there was a Garret Fitzgerald and poets wrote and lived in garrets). I gave a copy to John Peel and he said that he thought that people would still know it was me. ...It was the forerunner of the album Gifts And Telegrams, on which i played all the instruments." (From the 'Dark side of the Room' booklet.)
