Description

Here is a brand new still sealed set of the 9 Beethoven symphonies on 7 LP's.  This is the legendary set performed by the London Symphony Orchestra in 1960 under the baton of Josef Krips.  It is still considered a benchmark recording.  I got this exact same set of Murray Hill recordings from a record club around 1970 and played, and enjoyed it, countless times.
The free bonus is a Everest LP all Beethoven album.  Krips conducts the London Symphony in Lenore #3 and the Egmont Overtures.  Werner Janssen (mostly known as a composer of film music) conducts the Symphony of Los Angeles in Wellington's Victory and the King Stephen Overture.  Ignore the way the album cover looks as the record itself is great.  The side with Krips is in NM condition and the side with Janssen is VG.  There is a slight scratch on that side up to the beginning of the battle in Wellington.
I'm selling these as I've been collecting classical music since I was 16 (and I'm now 69) and have numerous versions of all the pieces on these LPs on various media. Plus, at 69 I need to start "uncollecting".
The LPs will be mailed to you in a sturdy box via USPS Media Mail within two business days of ebay notifying me that payment has been received.  Continental USA buyers only.
While I will not accept a return on this item as what you're paying for is still sealed, if you have an issue with it please contact me via ebay and I'm sure we can work something out.
Thank you for viewing my listing.  Take care and stay safe.
