Description
Joy Division – Death Trip | very rare coloured 12" vinyl LP | unofficial release*
First coloured pressing of this German bootleg LP (1987)
It was released as limited colour edition red, blue and clear vinyl. This is the red-translucent edition in a silver print sleeve.
Each approx ltd to 200-300 pieces (possibly even less)
Various unreleased live and studio recordings 1979 and 1980
Record condition: This LP has been played quite a few of times when it was purchased in the late 1980s,
but was in storage for the past 30+ years and it is hence in great condition, zero skips. White labels, no info, marked 1/2 with pen (according to matrix runout A/B).
Though the condition of the actual record is very good, the sound quality is not comparable with official studio releases. This is Joy Division raw and live. At some point on the recording one of the band remarks about everything playing just through the bass amp, before the PA kicks in again.
* This is an unofficial release / bootleg.
This release has been blocked from sale in other marketplaces.
Here is a rare chance to grab a collector's item. For Joy Division afficionados only.
Sound quality sample: Some hoax song-uploads of these tracks are circulating the internet (YT and apparently also Sptfy). These are not representative of the true sound of this record. These uploads are sounding like extremely poorly compressed audio files, and unlike this vinyl's actual sound. It appears that these are intentionally distributed in extreme low quality (perhaps to discourage people from purchasing this boot? I am not sure)
If you want to check the actual sound of this LP (a recording I just made) then copy/paste the link I placed below next to Track A1 Dead Souls in to your browser. And you will get the true sound of Death Trip.
Sleeve: Very good condition, sleeve shows signs of light cosmetic wear,
no spine damage, no creases, no breaks,
see close up images for detail.
The album comes in silver mono-chromatic print, gloss finish sleeve with quotes and credits, with german liner notes "In the early morning hours of 18th May 1980 Ian Curtis hung himself ... Macclesfield ... unreleased rare recordings ... from 1979 Central Studio, Manchester, ... 1979 Electric Ballroom, London ... french radio broadcast Les Bains-Douches, Paris ... 1980 Warehouse, Preston".
