Description
I'm selling a mint copy of Joy Division's legendary "Unknown Pleasures" vinyl LP.
It was bought around 1982 at the Rough Trade shop in London, and has been kept in excellent storage condition since. It really looks as new.
The record IS NOT transluscent, however, it shows some signs of early pressing :
Catalogue number is FACT 10, The heavily textured sleeve is in typically near mint shape, as you know it's flimsy nature is open to very bad ringwear but this one has been fairly looked after over the years with less than average wear, just tired corners. It has a rounded inner sleeve that shows some little signs of wear, graded near mint. The back of the sleeve shows "Printed and made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd". All evidences we have here one of the early 1979 copies of the record.
The vinyl is absolutely mint ! I's flat as a pancake,no warping at all,as good as the day it was pressed in 1979.
The "white inside" has a"Step" etching, while the "dark outside" has the "This is the way" etching (check pictures !), indicating a very early 1979 Factory Records press.
Both sides are marked with "a Porky prime cut" etching.
