Description
Joy Division’s critically acclaimed debut album Unknown Pleasures, released on Factory Records in 1979, and featuring iconic artwork by Peter Saville. Described by Select Magazine as “one of the greatest first albums ever” and Allmusic as “all visceral, all emotional, all theatrical, all perfect – one of the best albums ever”, in 2007 NME called it “simply one of the best records ever made, and is still powerful enough to floor you 28 years on”. This is the second, non-translucent, pressing.

Vinyl: Overall in very good condition with only a few surface marks with the exception of one surface scratch visible in certain lights running across the whole of side one. This is inaudible except for a light clicking during half of track 4 and through track 5. Otherwise very good sound quality.
Cover: Single sleeve in a textured black finish which by its nature is susceptible to wear. A few very light creases at the spine, some light scuffing to all sides and although no ring-wear, the record has left a slight impression in the sleeve, most noticeable at the top front.
Inner sleeve: Double sided Saville design, generally good condition but again the record has left a noticeable impression in the card. No creases or tears.
About the seller
I have been buying and collecting vinyl records for over 40 years. It is now time to move some on to create space. Over the next few months I will be listing over 200 albums and a handful of singles.
I will not be grading them as per the familiar Record Collector scale as I consider that many sellers overate their records, but will instead be giving an accurate description of the record and sleeve condition and pointing out any obvious defects. Unfortunately I do not have time to listen to each record in its entirety but will sample various tracks to identity any playing faults.
Every record, regardless of value, will be sent in a plastic cover with cardboard mailer and stiffener as a minimum. I will happily make a full refund if a record is found to be any way other than described (buyer to pay return postage).
